“I’m always looking for opportunities to immerse people in the music through awesome visuals.”
Ravers manipulating the visuals?  I call it RavePlay – have a look at the video below to see how much fun they have.  I wasn’t sure about this when I created it, but it is a huge (and surprising) hit, people love it.
What’s new? Cameras and all the wild things you can do with them with a live feed to the screen!
The Home Gathering festival was my first chance to take RavePlay on the road, a way for ravers to manipulate visuals with an XBox controller.
To say it was a success would be an understatement. People had a ball.
Yes, I’d love to bring this to your festival!
Music: TwinFish – Sleepless
Home Gathering was a 3 day festival in Sth East Queensland, Australia at the beginning of May 2026.
VJ Panda had the opportunity to do visuals for a beautiful crowd of ravers.
Music: Buzzpsy – Mahakaal Rising

VJPanda is a self-contained production:
3 x Epson EB-6x5W ultra short throw projectors – these things project a huge image when positioned only 1 meter from the front or back of the screen. Wireless connection to PC.
Optoma TW610ST – a short throw projector that throws an even bigger image, but needs to be a few metres in front of or behind the screen
Powerful laptop – NVIDIA 4070 GPU + 64Gb RAM
Software – Resolume Arena, Touch Designer, Mildrop3 Pro, Magic Music Visualiser, OBS, TouchOSC. Plus VirtualDJ if also DJing
Inflatable screen – you need a big space for this baby, it measures 4m wide x 3m high and can be front or rear projected.
Stretchy screen – 3m x 2m is perfect for smaller spaces
MIDI controllers – I use a game controller for RavePlay. Sometimes I use TouchOSC on a tablet to give control over the performance without having to do much on my computer
8 channel PA – twin passive speakers, plenty loud enough for a party or enclosed space
Party lights – a bunch of stuff to help create a vibe. Smoke machine, lasers, LED strings, par lamps etc.
Generator – I would much rather hook into existing power, but if none is available…
My vibe – I am an enthusiastic participant at any event, helping to create a wonderful and playful vibe
The video above was New Years Eve 2025 at a top secret bush doof.
The first part was at the Hot Tub Lounge from 0030hrs – 0330hrs as 2026 was getting started. The second part was the main tent on New Years Day. Â Spot my cameo appearance :o)
The visuals absolutely added to the vibe and the feedback was beautiful.
Sometimes a venue isn’t quite set up the way I expect or it is described. This was the fabulous result of arriving at Greaser in Brisbane and finding my inflatable screen wouldn’t fit…I really made it work with my backup screen.
Beats meet Boards was a popup doof held on the Gold Coast that I organised and did the visuals.  Below is a minute and a half out of 4.5 hours.
Without going into all the details, I was at Mo’s Desert Clubhouse in mid November 2025 and they had a 15 minute or so set of OK visuals, looping.  But by the 3rd time around it got boring and I don’t think was in the spirit of “immersive visuals”, I felt for the people who were there for hours.
My offer to step in was accepted and this…for the final hour of Grouch. Pretty happy with it, if you ignore the shots of the ceiling :o) , imagine what I can do at your event.

Available anywhere in the world, but let’s be realistic:Â Gold Coast based and will obviously travel to Brisbane, Northern Rivers and even the Sunshine Coast to get people dancing.
